DIY Caramel Frappe Recipe | Simple Frozen Carmel Coffeehouse Drink

Caramel Frappe Recipe

Who here loves a good copycat recipe? Well this Caramel Frappe Recipe will not disappoint!

*raises both hands* I know I do.

I have a small confession to make, I am obsessed with Frozen Caramel Coffee Drinks!  Whether it’s a Caramel Frappe from McDonalds, or a Frozen Caramel Marvel from Biggby, if it’s frozen coffee with Caramel, I will probably like it!

This recipe is very similar to a Frozen Caramel marvel from Biggby (random fact about me – I used to be barista at Biggby while I was in Law School).  However, it’s a lot closer to a Caramel Frappe recipe because of the coffee I choose to use.

I have fallen in love with making coffee drinks like this at home for a couple reasons, the biggest one being it not only tastes great but it also will save you so much money!

Ingredients

Cup of Coffee

Caramel (to taste)

½ cup International Delight Coffee Creamer (Caramel)

½ cup Heavy Whipping Cream

1 glass full of Ice

How to Make the Copy Cat Caramel Frappe Recipe

1. Start by making your cup of coffee, I do a strong brew to really get the coffee flavor. This is my favorite coffee maker!

2. Get the Coffee Cold, you can do the obvious thing and put it on ice, however I typically put mine in the fridge (or freezer depending on how long I am or am not willing to wait).  I chill the coffee this way so it doesn’t get watered down because many times in coffee shops that make frozen drinks, espresso shots are used instead of cups of coffee.  Those can cool faster without getting watered down so letting it cool in the fridge will help keep the taste closer to the coffee shop taste.

3. When the coffee is cool put Ice, Coffee, Creamer, Heavy Whipping Cream, and Carmel into blender.  This is the blender I swear up and down by and have used for about 6 years now!

4.  Blend and Enjoy! You can even top with whipped cream and carmel like they do at the coffee shops!
