Try This Simple Stainless-Steel Cleaning Hack

Anyone else ever think to themselves about how ironically named Stainless Steel actually is?

I swear for something called stainless, it certainly seems to stain easily. Sometimes I swear all I do is look at it and it will stain. That’s why I needed to find a stainless steel cleaning hack!

Maybe it’s all the little handprints, finger prints (and somehow footprints) that end up on it from two little ones running around all day that makes it really stand out to me just how EASY it is for stainless steel to stain.

All of my appliances are made of stainless steel and had I not known this super easy stainless steel cleaning hack I would’ve swore off anything and everything stainless steel forever.

I post a lot about cleaning and organizing and we all know that can take quite some time. Sometimes I want it to be instantly better looking without it taking a multi-day process. Just a simple spring cleaning checklist. Anyone else?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for taking the time to actually organize a cupboard. Even if you won’t ever notice it’s organized until you open it, but I also know that those kinds of tasks certainly feel a little less satisfying than the ones you instantly notice.

How to Actively get your Kids Cleaning Up

Trying to clean the house with kids can be exhausting, especially little ones. Figuring out how to get your kids cleaning up the house with you can also be difficult, but once you do, actually getting the house clean becomes much easier to do.

We’ve all been there as parents, when a room was cleaned just in time for someone to dump a bunch of blocks onto the floor to build a castle. Or, we let the kids completely occupy themselves in the living room just so we can get the kitchen clean, which inevitable leads to the living room being a disaster zone.

It happens.

Why is it important to get the kids involved?

Aside from helping with your own sanity, getting the kids involved in cleaning the house helps them feel accomplished. It’s like setting goals and achieving them.

Anyone else feeling the spring cleaning fever start to set in? The kind that makes you wonder what the places you forgot to clean in your home are?

Just me?

I start to feel the desire to REALLY clean around springtime. I’m in Michigan, so we’re finally starting to have the outside thaw out from the deep freeze of winter. You start to see the sun again and a feeling of excitement starts to set it, Warmer weather is on its way!

I wasn’t always excited about cleaning. Which I mentioned before in this post for the person who feels overwhelmed and just doesn’t know where to start.

But, this post is all about the un-obvious places to clean. The places you forgot to clean in your home. There are plenty of obvious places to clean, you see them every day, the kitchen, the bathroom, the bedroom. The Best Essential Oils for Cleaning Your Home

Anyone who has wanted to ditch some of the harsh chemicals typically turn to the best essential oils for cleaning.

When it comes to essential oils, I am not one of those people who swear up and down by one brand and one brand only. There are so many great ones out there, I do personally tend to use a lot of the Young Living Brand, but that isn’t to say that it’s the best and only brand I use. I actually use a few different ones but I do tend to gravitate towards Young Living.

Also – I am NO EXPERT on essential oils, I’m simply sharing oils I have used and still use. Ones that I consider the best essential oils to have on hand for cleaning a home. Do not take this post for anything more than my experience and opinion. There are affiliate links in this post.

How to Keep up with a Clean House

Anyone who has kids knows just how hard it can be to clean a house, let alone keeping a house clean.

I can have the entire living room clean and within minutes of the kids playing in it, you never would have even known I had cleaned.

If you read my post on how to clean when overwhelmed then you know after having kids it was a struggle for me to get the house clean most days, but I started to take things one day at a time and have little victories each day moving towards my overall goal of a clean house.

That’s where my ‘routine’ came in, I’m using the term routine a little loosely because I definitely have days where it doesn’t go as planned, but that’s motherhood right?! We roll with the punches.

Getting your house to the ‘clean’ point in all actuality is the easy part (I know it doesn’t seem like it) but in reality, the ‘keeping it up’ part is by far the hardest.

How to Clean Your Dishwasher

Has anyone ever cleaned their dishwasher or wondered how to clean your dishwasher?

I have a confession, I only recenlty started doing this!

At first, washing my dishwasher felt a little bit like Monica on Friends. Where she had her vacuuming vacuum to get her apartment floors, but then her mini vacuum which she used to clean her vacuum!

Ha! Can you tell what my favorite show is?

Monica Geller felling aside, it actually is something you should clean! After all, it gets your dishes, the things you eat off of, clean!

Anyone else fridge get out of hand at times? Even after you organize your fridge sometimes it can just get out of hand so quickly.

I know I’m guilty of just shoving things in there if I’m in a hurry or forgetting to toss the leftovers when I’m supposed to. But, the worst is when you complete forgot something was even in there!

That’s why it’s important to Deep clean and organize your fridge, even if it seems like a daunting task.
