Anyone else ever think to themselves about how ironically named Stainless Steel actually is?
I swear for something called stainless, it certainly seems to stain easily. Sometimes I swear all I do is look at it and it will stain. That’s why I needed to find a stainless steel cleaning hack!
Maybe it’s all the little handprints, finger prints (and somehow footprints) that end up on it from two little ones running around all day that makes it really stand out to me just how EASY it is for stainless steel to stain.
All of my appliances are made of stainless steel and had I not known this super easy stainless steel cleaning hack I would’ve swore off anything and everything stainless steel forever.

Super Easy Stainless Steel Cleaning Hack
Prior to learning this cleaning hack, I tried everything in the book. I would instantly wipe off water drops, finger prints, handprints or anything that would leave a mark. I used the super expensive special stainless-steel cleaners that are out there.
Then I heard that the special glass wash cloth from Norwex worked wonders (it was definitely a step up), but my fridge would still end up with marks on it the second anyone opened it up.
I was literally to the point of saying I will not put stainless steel in my new house when we were building it.
Then, cleaning stainless steel as I knew it changed forever. My mom somehow started a conversation with someone (they worked on the displays at the appliance store she was at) and they suggested this Cleaning Hack because it’s what they had used in the store.
You ready for the secret?
No joke.
I realize it sounds like a joke, but it’s not, I promise. Lemon Pledge restored my faith in my ability to keep stainless steel clean so much that every single major appliance in my kitchen is stainless steel.
All I do is take a washcloth and spray a small bit of Lemon Pledge onto it and wipe. I make sure that as I go, I don’t leave it super thick so that it’s air-drying. I do try and make sure I wipe it on and dry it off pretty quickly.
But boy oh boy does it work! I’ve had appliances go quite some time without it getting marks on it after using Lemon Pledge.
