Chalk Couture Transfers

Hi Everyone!

I am loving this do it yourself movement that has come into the spotlight these past few years.  I am obsessed with it and I was so happy when Alma, an Independent Chalk Couture designer, reached out to me.  I had never heard of chalk couture before but the second I saw what it was all about I knew I had to try it! How to Make Your Own Baby Food | Do It Yourself Homemade Baby Food

How to make Homemade Baby food

Hello Everyone!

So I may very well be the odd ball here, but I LOVED making my own baby food. So I decided to post about How to make Homemade Babyfood! It saved me money and allowed me to know exactly what was in the food I was giving my daughter.  This doesn’t mean I never gave her store bought baby food, because eventually I did, but I was very proud when I was the one who made her baby food.

I started baby girl with solid foods at around 6 and a half months old. Up until then (aside from a two week stint on formula because of her hospital stay) she was exclusively on breast milk.  This is something I am incredibly proud of.  Much more so than I ever expected to be once I entered into motherhood.

But like all babies eventually solid foods needed to be introduced.  I knew before she was ever born that I wanted to make her baby food.  So once my husband and I decided to start solids I went to work! [Read more…]

DIY Easter Basket Ideas | What I Put in my Daughter’s First Easter Basket that Wasn’t Candy

March 13, 2018

DIY Easter Basket Ideas

Hello Everyone!

I am so excited for Easter! I wanted to share with you some DIY Easter Basket Ideas we did for Baby Girl’s First Easter Basket.

She was only a few months old her first Easter.  We couldn’t go the stero-typical route and get her chocolate, the jelly bean filled plastic eggs, or a pre-made Easter basket because of her age.  So we decided to make our own with baby stuff for her to use. [Read more…]

Hello Everyone!

My daughter loves Moana! She sings and dances to all of the songs, it’s so cute.  So when her birthday rolled around the theme was Moana (Shocker right?!).

I have always had this thing with wanting to make cakes for birthdays.  Long before I was ever pregnant I knew I wanted to make all of the cakes for my kids. I made my daughter’s first Birthday cake and even her cake smash cake.

So here is how I made the cake! [Read more…]

DIY Cake Smash Photo Session

Hello Everyone!

Today I wanted to share how I did my own cake smash session with my daughter when she turned one.

I know that photographers can be expensive and not everyone has the ability to have a session like this.  While at the same time you want to capture all the little moments and memories that come with parenthood.

As many of you know I also am a photographer, one of the many “hats” I wear.  So I always have a camera in hand (especially now that we do Weekly Vlogging).  But here is what I did. [Read more…]

Good Bye 2017! Hello 2018! | Happy New Year (Soon-ish)!

December 29, 2017

Hello Everyone!

We are down to the last couple days of 2017 and I honestly cannot believe it.  I swear once I became a mom time decided to speed up… it just runs faster now. At least that’s my theory.

What are everyone’s plans for the new year?

I know I have an exciting time planned….. sitting at home on the couch with the Hubby …. sounds like the perfect night to me (of course I would’ve laughed at this back in college).

I thought I would share some big moments from this past year with you all so you can get to know me a little bit better

Selling LuLaRoe:

and deciding to stop selling it because it took too much time from this little darling:

My Daughter’s First Birthday (a BIG moment for any parent):

First time to the Beach:

First time on a Lake:

And of course there are some other moments that I am super happy about as well.  Like starting this blog up (again – so don’t forget to subscribe – there’s my shameless plug) as well as our decision to start Weekly Family Vlogging.  So far we are 4 weeks into it and it has been a lot of fun keeping track of all the memories (good or bad).

I have a lot of big plans for next year and I can’t wait to share everything with all of you!

Hope you all have a Happy New Year!

Quick and Easy Beer Bread | Fun Homemade Bread Recipe

December 19, 2017

Hello Everyone!

I am sorry I’ve missed my Friday posts the last couple weeks.  Tons of snow and cold weather has come to town where I live and it aggravated my asthma.  I actually ended up in the Hospital the other night, but we finally have a handle on it!! So only posts I had previously scheduled were actually published!

But I wanted to share a fun and easy recipe for Beer Bread with you!

I LOVE Beer Bread and this is SO EASY to make and only requires 3 ingredients!  It’s perfect to have when your having guests over (you can be like all the fancy restaurants and bring out some freshly baked bread before dinner!).  Or you can just snack on it (I do this more often than I should).
