Moana Birthday Party Decorations | Moana Themed Ideas for the Perfect Party

April 6, 2018

Moana Birthday Party decorations

Hello Everyone!

My daughter absolutely loves Moana (more specifically Maui).  So I wanted to share my Moana Birthday Party decorations we did with all of you.  Obviously we are huge Disney Fans if you didn’t catch that from this post, this post, or this post.  So when it came time for a Birthday Party theme, Moana was fitting.  We only have to watch the movie at least 4 times a week, but lets be real – it can be closer to once a day some weeks.  (If I’m being really honest we’ve watched the movie two times in one day before.)

It only makes sense to have  tropical themed party in the dead of winter – bringing warm thoughts to thaw out the deep freeze. Come on Moana Themed Birthday Party – work your magic and melt away the snow! (I’ll sit here and wait – I clearly live in the wrong state)! [Read more…]

C-Section Awareness Month | How I Ended up With an Emergency C-Section

April 3, 2018

C-Section Awareness Month

Hello Everyone!

Many mom’s expect to feel the comradery between other moms when they first join the motherhood club.  However, I also joined the C-Section Mama club when my daughter was born.  So in honor of C-Section Awareness Month I wanted to share my labor and delivery story, because nothing about a C-section is easy.  However, despite this being an unpopular opinion, in many cases like mine, it is needed.

I want to start by saying that I ended up with an emergency C-Section and the events that led to this resulted in my daughter being born not breathing.  Thankfully (as she just turned two) they were able to get her to start breathing on her own.  Non-the-less I wish I would’ve advocated for myself much better during this entire ordeal.

How to Make Your Own Baby Food | Do It Yourself Homemade Baby Food

How to make Homemade Baby food

Hello Everyone!

So I may very well be the odd ball here, but I LOVED making my own baby food. So I decided to post about How to make Homemade Babyfood! It saved me money and allowed me to know exactly what was in the food I was giving my daughter.  This doesn’t mean I never gave her store bought baby food, because eventually I did, but I was very proud when I was the one who made her baby food.

I started baby girl with solid foods at around 6 and a half months old. Up until then (aside from a two week stint on formula because of her hospital stay) she was exclusively on breast milk.  This is something I am incredibly proud of.  Much more so than I ever expected to be once I entered into motherhood.

But like all babies eventually solid foods needed to be introduced.  I knew before she was ever born that I wanted to make her baby food.  So once my husband and I decided to start solids I went to work! [Read more…]

DIY Easter Basket Ideas | What I Put in my Daughter’s First Easter Basket that Wasn’t Candy

March 13, 2018

DIY Easter Basket Ideas

Hello Everyone!

I am so excited for Easter! I wanted to share with you some DIY Easter Basket Ideas we did for Baby Girl’s First Easter Basket.

She was only a few months old her first Easter.  We couldn’t go the stero-typical route and get her chocolate, the jelly bean filled plastic eggs, or a pre-made Easter basket because of her age.  So we decided to make our own with baby stuff for her to use. [Read more…]

Binge Worthy TV Shows | Great Big List of TV Shows to Binge

February 23, 2018

You know how some people are “movie people”? Well – I’m a “TV Person” I LOVE TV shows.

I will choose a TV show over a movie 95% of the time.  There is nothing better than curling up with a soft blanket, comfy PJ’s, and Homemade Popcorn to Binge a good TV show.

It is literally my Favorite thing to do – I just rarely get to do it (mom life). But that doesn’t mean that I don’t have a list of the Binge Worthy TV shows.

You’ve already heard all about my list of my favorite reality TV shows and why I love Reality TV so much! BUT…here is my list of non-reality TV shows that are definitely worth your Binging time! [Read more…]

Dog Food Delivered | Easiest Way for Mom’s to Shop

February 19, 2018

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #CheckYourPetFood #CollectiveBias

Hello Everyone!

I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to do this sponsored post.  All opinions expressed are my own after trying it out myself!

As many of you know I am a self proclaimed crazy dog lady! Always have been and always will be.

I’m also a mama to a beautiful baby girl.  The thing is, my daughter doesn’t like going in and out of stores and to be honest I don’t either.  I used to love to, but I live in Michigan and it’s cold here.  That means getting her in and out of her car seat multiple times, bundling her up because it’s freezing here, and making sure I packed enough snacks to get us through the store.  It becomes so much more of a chore. Defining Moments in Life | How my Daughter Fought for Her Life at Two Weeks Old

February 9, 2018

Hi Everyone!

I’ve waited a long time to talk about what’s in this post.  I briefly mentioned it in this guest post, but never on my actual blog.

Many of you know I have a beautiful little girl who is full of spunk, sass and life.  She recently turned two and I honestly couldn’t imagine my life without her.

Without question, being her Mama is the single most amazing thing I have ever accomplished in my life.

What some new follower’s don’t know, is the weeks surrounding her arrival were a difficult time for my family.  Fist off, getting her here was a challenge.  Cliff note version: 4 days of labor that ended in an emergency C-section where she was born not breathing.

Then came the hard part. [Read more…]
